People watching in Niigata (March 24, 2015)

People watching at Iwa-ppara Ski Resort, Niigata prefecture

I visited Iwa-ppara Ski Resort, Niigata prefecture to see biological impacts of Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant accident. Though I have visited various places in Japan to see the health consequences of the accident, I have never found any effect against creatures in Japan.
In spite of the accident, foods and water of Niigata prefecture have no radioactive materials. Niigata prefecture is clean land because surrounding high mountains prevent the prefecture from radioactive materials of Fukushima.  Additionally, the atmosphere, agricultural produce, and water throughout Niigata Prefecture are being monitored for radiation. The measurements taken by the monitoring system are available on the web http://www.pref.niigata.lg.jp/en/ .
Niigata prefecture is famous for snow resort too. Many people visit there to play ski or snowboard every winter.
There are many snow resorts in Niigata prefecture. This year, I visited there many times because it is easily accessible from Tokyo. You can wake up in Tokyo and be on the slopes by 8 am!
Iwappara in Japan (located in the Niigata prefecture) is a large resort with 13 lifts that offers skiers an impressive 585 metres (1920 feet) of vertical descent. Iwappara has 13 pistes.
Iwa-ppara Ski Resort is a ski slope aimed at families. The wide course makes it easy for anybody to enjoy. The slope is perfect for families or beginners, or anyone who is looking to improve their ski ability.
So I went to Iwa-ppara Ski Resort for snowboarding. Fortunately, I could enjoy snowboard safely and I couldn't find any impact of the accident. It seems that people in Niigata prefecture have no worry about the accidents because they have no biological impacts by the accident.  They think that there is no problem for childbirth and child-rearing in Niigata, Japan.

Almost 4 years have passed since Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. I have visited various places of Japan to see the health consequence of the accident.
Fortunately I have never found any impacts by the accident among Japanese creatures. As far as I know, nobody has health problem which is caused by the accident in Japan.
Our Prime Minister Abe assures that "The situation is under control and there will never be health problems." He also said that "Tokyo is 250 kilometers away from Fukushima, and the kind of danger that you imagine does not exist in Tokyo. Tokyo is a very safe city."
Though Niigata prefecture is next to Fukushima prefecture, surrounding high mountains and the direction of the wind prevent it from radioactive materials. So Niigata prefecture is safe as same as Tokyo and people in Niigata have no concern about the nuclear power plant accident. People in Niigata prefecture have already forgotten the accident, because it is very far away from Fukushima and radioactive materials cannot reach there.
We know there is no problem for child birth and child rearing in Niigata. So people in Niigata are living without any concern about the accident.
I continue to visit various places in Japan to see the effects of the accident, because I can meet various creatures which are more sensitive to radioactive materials from the environment. It is important to see their health for our safety.
